june 2, 2010 - dinah mite is new pfl #1 contender!

It has taken three years, but little Dinah Mite has done it - she is the new PFL #1 Contender!!

She took all that PFL Commissioner Stacey P. Case dished out at PFL 45: Tooth Fang & Claw, in front of a packed Toronto audience at The Garrison on Saturday May 29, 2010:

- fighting three times against three different opponents in the same night
- having to win all three matches to get #1 Contender status
- not knowing who her opponents were until each match was about to begin

And she did it! She beat Apocalipstick, TV Starr, and former PFL World Champion Charley Davidson to get a shot at the World Championship! She gets her name added to the vaunted Tecumseth Cup - awarded to the #1 Contender - and then, she'll take on Olivia Neutron Bomb for her PFL World Title at PFL 50 - in Montreal, on Saturday August 14!!!

may 7, 2010 - OLIVIA WINS THE BELT BACK!

SHE DID IT!

Olivia Neutron Bomb has become the FIRST-EVER two-time winner of the Pillow Fight League World Title!

In front of a packed Mod Club audience on Tuesday April 27, 2010, it came down to the final round of a five round battle between Charley Davidson - who beat Bomb for the title at PFL 36 - with Olivia finally getting the three-count pinfall win! This, AFTER Charley had attempted to blatantly injure Olivia's knee in a sneak attack at PFL 41!

League Commissioner Stacey P. Case had this to say.

"Pillow Fight League fans know that on the mats, what goes around, comes around. It happened to me earlier in the night in my match against Referee Ross Jeremy (I lost), and it happened to Charley. However, rest assured that Charley will not take this lying down. It won't be easy for her though - there is a locker room full of women that want, and deserve, a crack at Olivia's world title. Time will tell who will become the next #1 Contender to the Championship - because currently, the vaunted Tecumseth Cup does not have an owner. Get ready fight fans - this is going to be one VERY interesting summer!"

april 20, 2010 - charley's angle on the olivia rematch!

PFL fight fans, the big night is just a few days away. Tuesday April 27 at the Mod Club in Toronto, PFL 43: PAYBACK! will see current PFL World Champion Charley Davidson defend her title against the woman she beat at PFL 36 to get it - Olivia Neutron Bomb. Some say Charley cheated in that match to win the belt (scroll down to read all about it). Then, at an event a few months later, some audience members in attendance at PFL 41 saw Charley seemingly 'take out' Olivia (her tag team partner in the main event - placed there by the fiendish Commish) with an attack to Olivia's injured knee. While Olivia recuperated, the two of them continued their battle on Facebook with ever more slanderous comments from both sides. This week on Inside The PFL (the official podcast of the Pillow Fight League), Olivia tells her side of the story, and once again, Charley has something to say in response.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we've all heard a lot of bluster from Olivia. She's had to rely on her backhanded tactics, and baseless allegations, to try and build up some momentum for herself heading into this World Championship rematch. Whatever you need to do to get you through the day, Olivia...

Listen, we all know that there is only one true measure of who is the best. I don't have to whine and complain - I'll simply show her who is boss on the mats once again, and put to rest her bitching for once and for all."

march 2, 2010 - olivia vs charley rematch announced!

Unbelievable! Olivia Neutron-Bomb won the #1 Contender tournament at PFL 37 in Hamilton, Charley held on to the title by beating Shady Godiva at PFL 38 in Chatham, and NOW...now...Olivia gets her wish! SHE'S TAKING ON CHARLEY FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP ON TUESDAY, APRIL 27, at the Mod Club! It's PFL 43: PAYBACK!

Many of you may remember the controversy surrounding Charley's win over Olivia at PFL 36 in Toronto - there were accusations that Charley didn't have her pillow at the point of contact when she pinned Olivia for the win. All camera angles from the show were unfortunately inconclusive. It's all water under the bridge now, though - Olivia's hot on the heels of Charley Davidson! Will she win her belt back? Will Charley successfully defend it again? You'll just have to wait to find out, fight fans! Tickets go on sale for this incredible rematch on April 1! Don'tcha dare miss it!

feb. 24, 2010 - PHDEMON CHALLENGES WORLD CHAMPION!?

Yes - you read that correctly! Perennial PFL underdog PhDemon, aka The Mathlete (and/or The Mathemagician) has challenged PFL World Champion Charley Davidson to a match in Round One of the Big Money Tournament at PFL 39, in Toronto Canada, on Saturday Feb. 27! PhDemon is being very secretive, and refuses to answer any questions about her choice. Has she found a flaw in the Champ's battle plan? When notified that she had been challenged by PhDemon, Charley accepted, but had nothing to say because she was laughing so hard, she couldn't speak! While he's unsure of the logic of PhDemon's choice, PFL Commissioner Stacey P. Case has agreed to the match, and had this to say.

"PhDemon bears all the hallmarks of having an acute case of Attention Deficit Disorder. That, combined with Seasonal Affective Disorder, seems to have altered her judgement in a radical way. However, if that's the fight she wants, that's the fight she's gonna get."

In other matches, Shady Godiva has accepted the challenge from TV Starr, Dinah Mite has been challenged by both newcomer Vallon (whom Dinah beat in singles competition at PFL 38) AND by PFL Rookie Bobbi Pinn. Who will she choose? And what about Olivia Neutron Bomb? Laura Tunderin' Geezus? Will someone be challenging Referee Ross Jeremy?

All questions will be answered in three days at PFL 39: BIG MONEY! at The Garrison - 1197 Dundas St. West (at Ossington), on Saturday February 27, in Toronto Canada!

feb. 11, 2010 - shady for the belt!

PFL Veteran Shady Godiva has been gunning for Charley Davidson since she joined the League. "Charley Davidson is an incredibly gifted fighter," says Shady. "Sure, she may have cheated to get the belt, but that's because she'll stop at nothing to win. I can respect that. But - my record speaks for itself. As much as that pleather-wearing motorpsycho may try to deny it, Charley knows I've beaten her before, and in Chatham, Ontario on Friday February 19, at PFL 38, I'm going to do it again."

Controversial PFL World Champion Charley Davidson had this response.

"Not only was there CLEARLY no cheating in my definitive win over Olivia Neutron-Bomb at PFL 36, but I have proven in all of my fights over the past year against Shady Godiva, that I fight fair every time. In fact, I seem to remember being thrown to the mats by my hair in the course of beating Shady for #1 Contender status at PFL 32, which I am quite certain is against the rules as well. But do you hear me crying for a review of the tapes? No. I stood up, threw away the chunks of loose hair, and then proceeded to beat Shady fair and square.

I am tired of fighters flaunting the rules and then crying to the Commissioner when it suits their needs. But I have the belt, and I intend to keep the belt, and that's all that matters."

Well, what more can be said? It's "Go Time!" at PFL 38 in Chatham!

feb. 10, 2010 - pfl 36 cameras inconclusive!

PFL Commissioner Stacey P. Case has reviewed all camera angles from the World Title main event at PFL 36 - and the results are inconclusive.

"Five cameras were spread throughout the room," says Commissioner Case, "And unfortunately, not one of them was situated in exactly the right place, to be able to fully see whether Charley Davidson's pillow was at the point of contact when she pinned Olivia Neutron-Bomb for the three-count. However, with Olivia winning the Contender Tournament at PFL 37 in Hamilton, and thus becoming the next #1 Contender to the World Title, the point is moot."

So Olivia definitely gets another title shot - but will it be against Charley, or Shady? We'll know after PFL 38 who Olivia will face at a future event - because in Chatham, either Charley's walking out with the belt around her waist, or Shady is. If Olivia eventually faces Shady for the title though, you can bet that Olivia will still have a grudge against Charley, which we're sure will also play itself out at a future event as well.
